Sandbanks

With room for 4 adults and 2 children, ourwooden chalet Sandbanks has been a holiday home since the 1940s. It is built on stilts among the sand dunes beside the wonderful 3mile sandy beach of St Ives Bay at Hayle

It faces west and has a verandah for eating out inthe summer sunsets. There are glimpses of the sea which is a safe 10 minute walk away over grassy dunes.

Outside there is plenty of room for parking andbarbeques and it is an ideal spot for ballgames.

How to get here

Aim for Hayle on the A30 in the far west of Cornwall. On entering Hayle turn right opposite the Jet garage alongside the playing fields and skateboard park. Follow this road up the hill and past the church and old pub The Bucket of Blood. After the sharp right hand bend look for a turning to your left through a gap in a stone wall. Follow this track until you see a palm tree to your left and you have arrived! Please park in front of the chalet, not on thebank. Thank you and have a lovely time!

A traditional beach chalet for a traditional holiday by the sea.

It may be small but it’s very cosy!

There is a private bedroom with small double bed and cupboard, and two single sofa beds in the sitting room. There are two built-in settles in the the breakfast/dining room which are only really big enough for children to sleep on. We supply all duvets and pillows, but you will need to bring your own bed linen and towels.

It’s lovely and quiet in our chalet and you should see numerous birds and rabbits playing nearby.

Breakfast Room

Here you will find a dining table and set of chairs which can be used outside. There are two built in banquettes with storage under, and a range of buckets and spades, beach mats, etc. This room gets the sun in the mornings. It also houses the TV - terrestrial channels only I’m afraid..

Bathroom

Along the corridor there is also a sizeable shower room with hand made ceramic basin on washstand.

Kitchen

The little kitchen has a double sink unit, four ring electric hob with extractor, microwave/combination oven and refrigerator. Please note that there is no room for a washing machine or freezer. Sorry!

Outside

There is lots of room for sitting out and you will find we supply a barbeque and various toys and games for fun in the sun.
